Siemens

Siemens Energy, a major player in the rapidly expanding global power generation market, has been with working in partnership with Neville Wharton Business Psychology for several years to implement a talent identification and development programme. This is designed to meet a key strategic need to support the organisation’s growth through the retention of leadership and engineering talent and the development of high potential individuals with the capability to progress to senior management.

At the heart of the programme is a challenging, two day development centre directly linked to the Siemens Leadership Framework, that replicates the leadership and decision making challenges participants can expect to face when operating at a strategic level. The centre is facilitated and managed by Mike Cockburn and Sue Burn from Neville Wharton Business Psychology and participants receive coaching and feedback from observers from the Siemens Energy senior management team during the centre. This is reinforced by a comprehensive post centre debrief and Personal Development Planning meeting for each participant with a member of the Siemens Energy HR team.

Feedback from both participants and the organisation has been extremely positive and Siemens Energy has been able to identify and facilitate accelerated career development paths for a significant number of participants as a result of the programme.
